Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Two of Nevada's wild horses, resident in the west Fernley area of Northern Nevada, practice the art of establishing dominance over the herd. These two are young and do not have a herd, but someday one may because the herd stallion, protecting the mares and offspring.

This photo took third place in the "Wild Animal Photography" contest sponsored by Sarah Lalonde.

About Janis Knight

Janis Knight

Janis Knight has called Northern Nevada home for 50 years. During childhood, every summer was filled with trips to the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains where she fell in love with the beauty, wildness and open spaces of the Great Basin. While art came naturally, it was her first Nikon SLR in 1982 that really ignited the passion for photography. A background in drawing and painting helped her develop her style using elements of composition and light. She began displaying photos in the Tri-county fair in Northern Nevada, often winning best of show and superior ribbons, and her photos hung in businesses around town. Finally, in 2001, she was able to attend University of Nevada, Reno, where she studied black and white film photography...
