Artist's Description
A storm clears over western Reno Nevada while the sun rises, lighting up the beautiful skyline and Sierra Nevada Mountains and one particular white cloud. This high definition print has excellent detail of downtown featuring the iconic Silver Legacy Casino, Harrah's, Circus Circus, and El Dorado Hotel Casino.
This was photographed in February 2014 from Sparks, Nevada. The print is a standard 16x20 size, or can be printed larger.
Reno, popularly known to be situated in the Truckee meadows, is often called “The Biggest Little City in the World," and is home to about a quarter million people. The area boasts amazing outdoor adventure, from rafting in the Truckee to skiing in the Tahoe basin just 45 minutes away from town.

About Janis Knight
Janis Knight has called Northern Nevada home for 50 years. During childhood, every summer was filled with trips to the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains where she fell in love with the beauty, wildness and open spaces of the Great Basin. A background in drawing and painting helped her develop her style using elements of composition and light. She began displaying photos in the Tri-county fair in Northern Nevada, often winning best of show and superior ribbons, and her photos hung in businesses around town. Finally, in 2001, she was able to attend University of Nevada, Reno, where she studied black and white film photography...
